Eric launches new restaurant PAX burger
Eric Paxman has revealed the details of his new eatery, which is set to transform the former La Cocina restaurant in Lidget Street, Lindley.
Launching at the end of February and creating 20 new jobs, PAX Burger will be Huddersfield’s first gourmet burger restaurant. Spread over three floors, it will include a bar area and seating for up to 62 people. Diners will be able to choose from seven different types of burger, each created by Eric, plus a selection of side dishes with everything made on site using fresh ingredients.
Eric said: “PAX Burger brings something completely different to Huddersfield. It’s a very simple concept giving customers the chance to try a delicious range of burgers that is unlike any other. There will be a choice of beef, chicken and lamb plus a vegetarian option, all made with a twist and using as many locally-sourced ingredients as possible. We also plan to offer a burger that changes each season as well as one made specially for children.
“The restaurant will be casual but high quality, giving diners the option to enjoy a drink before or after eating in the large bar area, including American-style cocktails and a choice of freshly made milkshakes.”
Work on the refurbishment of the building is due to start within the next two weeks, so the restaurant is launching a recruitment drive this month. A total of 20 jobs are up for grabs at all levels, including waiting staff, chefs and a restaurant manager.
Eric continued: “With the wheels now firmly in motion, we’re keen to fill all of the positions by the end of this month, so are keen to hear from anyone interested in working for us and who has relevant experience. This is a chance to come and work for an exciting new brand that we’re making a huge investment in. Although PAX Burger is very different to Eric’s, we are confident that it will be just as successful and we can’t wait to open.”
